What I also liked is they don't try to up sell you. If you'd like a haircut, they give you a haircut. My biggest pet peeve from other salons is when they offer something that tacks in $10, then asks if they should dry it, and that become $5. Soon you're spending double for no reason. Vina doesn't do that. They also can read the vibes if you like small talk or silence. It was very comfortable.

A MASTER DWELLS HERE.!
This is a new salon, quiet and unassuming in design, but inside you will find master stylist Hung Bui and his sister Angie. Hung gave me the best haircut of my life! Three weeks out, my fine blonde hair still looks FABULOUS, whether I style it or whether I don't.. It even looks good when I get up in the morning! He has an unusual way of cutting- a little cut wet, mostly cut after drying.
The cut plays beautifully into my hair's natural waviness, faming my face and making the need for styling products slight. Oh and did I mention that he is a good listener and very kind??
Reasonably priced. A treasure!!!!!

I hope that ANYONE in the Richmond, tri-state area will go if you want to be pampered and treated like a queen. I have never felt so beautiful. He listened to me and worked a miracle with my hair. Hung has been cutting and highlighting my hair for 10 years!! Never once in all those years have I ever walked out disappointed, no matter the style or length, so when he opened up his own salon, I was note that willing to follow him, no matter how far!! Hung keeps up with all the latest hair trends, is wonderful at suggesting a cut/style that will compliment you and your hair texture. I love how he texturizes, it makes such a difference and looks so good, yet soft. Hung is truly a specialist at coloring and highlighting. My highlights always look so natural and soft. I love them!!! I also love the conditioning treatment that he now offers, it makes your hair super soft!! The salon is new, but there is definitely a Master Stylist inside, make your appointment, you will not regret it! Oh and you know what, his prices are reasonable, very!

This salon is the best kept secret in Richmond! The owner is an incredibly gifted master stylist and also the kindest, most thoughtful man. I have hair that is very difficult to manage (gets frizzy easily!) and he has been the only stylist to solve that problem. He goes out of his way to make sure his customers are comfortable when they are in his salon and are thrilled with the results. On top of all that, his prices are very, very reasonable. I have been seeing him for ten years and feel so lucky to have found him!

This salon is the best kept secret in Richmond! The owner is an incredibly gifted master stylist and also the kindest, most thoughtful man. I have hair that is very difficult to manage (gets frizzy easily!) and he has been the only stylist to solve that problem. He goes out of his way to make sure his customers are comfortable when they are in his salon and are thrilled with the results. On top of all that, his prices are very, very reasonable. I have been seeing him for ten years and feel so lucky to have found him!

I had been waiting (procrastinating) getting my hair cut for MONTHS, and today decided I had had enough and it was finally time. Having had my hair ruined several times by the likes of Hair Cuttery, Fantastic Sams, etc, I decided to go to a real salon. Vina was open later than other salons, and did not require appointment (I called on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm) and they got me in at 4:30. Angie shampooed and conditioned my hair as I relaxed in a massage chair. She was very friendly, gave a description of what she was going to do with my hair, and took her time, in a good way! She was very gentle with my hair, and the cut took about an hour. After Angie dried my hair, Hung did the final touches, the "texturing" of my hair, which I had never had done before, so I was a bit worried. The final result was probably the best haircut I have ever had, and I will definitely be spreading the word about Vina, and returning there myself.
Highly recommended!
